More than likely Groove House will be the manufacturer of the disc and the tentative design calls for: a full-color disc; an "LP" style 4 sided jacket (similar to the old-fashioned 2 record sets when we were kids); and an 8 page booklet. The front cover will have an undecided picture (love Mark's stuff) plus our name on top, and the CD title somewhere below that. The rest of the package is still up in the air, but I've got a few ideas. For instance, I really like the first picture of us under the clouds for the back cover along with the song titles, copyright notice & barcode. On the inside, we could do a collage of pictures on one side and Pat's studio photo of us on the other. We could either do the credits on the inside of the jacket, or on the last page of the booklet. I like the third picture up top for the booklet cover, and we'd probably want another picture for the back. Inside, 5 of the six pages would have lyrics and musician credits for two songs each, and the last page would have just one song left, leaving room for credits, thank yous or whatever.

Update! Due to cost and other concerns, we're going to go with an old-fashioned jewel box with booklet. It's amazing how much cheaper plastic is than paper, recycled or otherwise. The good news is we can upgrade to a 12 page booklet. The "Road" photo will be our front cover with 'Wookie Garcia' written at the top and 'Songs from Ray's Garage' on the bottom. On the back of the booklet (also color) I'd like to use a grouping of photos of our guest musicians. The 10 pages inside will all be B & W. There should be a page for credits, 6 or 7 pages for the song lyrics/musician credits, and 2 consecutive pages for the famous studio photo.
